Keep London welcoming

I grew up in London playing on the street with children from all over the world.  I love living and working in the most cosmopolitan city on the planet. That is the London I love, and the London we want to ‘get back’.

Yet London’s tolerance is under attack. We see antisemitism and Islamophobia daily from cynical people who are trying to set community against community. Black and Asian Londoners continue to suffer institutional racism. European citizens feel less welcome than they did before Brexit.

As Liberal Democrat Mayor, I will keep London the most welcoming city on Earth. I will:

  • Speak out against extremism and racism in all its forms
  • Help EU citizens prove their status with a London Passport
  • Tackle institutional discrimination in the Met Police

More policy details will be released along with the Manifesto in April.
