Successive failures by the Home Office in the case of the Windrush Generation has led to people who arrived in the UK as children losing their jobs, or facing problems accessing benefits and even healthcare, often in the latter parts of their lives.
But we have now learnt that some applicants for citizenship, who are part of the Windrush generation, are being refused.
This is a national scandal, and it is clear that the Home Office cannot be trusted to deal with immigration issues fairly.
That's why we are campaigning for the Home Office to lose responsibility for handling immigration applications, and instead have them handled by a non-political outside body.
