Our people

London Liberal Democrats brings together borough parties from across the capital as we campaign to keep the UK in Europe, and to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society.

In Westminster, London has been represented by former Lib Dem leader Vince Cable, deputy leader Ed Davey, Tom Brake and Chuka Umunna (pictured above, left). Vince Cable is standing down at this election, and a new generation of candidates are ready to join Ed, Tom and Chuka in parliament.

We topped the most recent vote in London, sending three MEPs - Irina von Wiese, Dinesh Dhamija and Luisa Porritt - to represent us at the European Parliament.

And 2020 brings London wide elections, where we are campaigning to make Siobhan Benita (pictured above, centre) the next Mayor of London. In City Hall, Caroline Pidgeon (pictured above, right) has been a London Assembly member since 2008. She leads our team of candidates for the London 2020 assembly elections.

Liberal Democrats lead the borough councils of Kingston, Richmond and Sutton, with more than 100 councillors across the capital.
