Lib Dems double presence on London Assembly

Hina Bokhari joins Caroline Pidgeon on the London Assembly, doubling the Liberal Democrat presence on the London Assembly.

On a bumper day of elections last week, the Liberal Democrats doubled their presence on the London Assembly - with Councillor Hina Bokhari now joining Caroline Pidgeon on the London Assembly. Hina Bokhari joins the Assembly as one of the joint first Muslim Assembly Members. You can see a full summary of the results from across the country here.

In the South West Constituency we doubled our votes - putting Gareth Roberts and the team in a very strong position for next time round.

London Liberal Democrats gives enormous thanks to Cllr Luisa Porritt, who did an exceptional job leading our team in very difficult circumstances and building a compelling vision to Take London Forward.

Thank you also to all of the candidates who stood right across London, as well as countless activists, volunteers, supporters and voters.
