Caroline Pidgeon has highlighted the threat a Conservative Mayor is to London's neighbourhood police.

Commentating on today's report from HM Inspector of Constabulary on police effectiveness, efficiency and legitimacy in England and Wales, Caroline said:
"Last year London was on the cusp of neighbourhood policing being totally withdrawn because of Boris Johnson's budget cuts. There was a real threat that PCSOs could have disappeared off our streets.
"This report is a welcome reminder of the vital importance of neighbourhood policing in tackling anti social behaviour, delivering ongoing crime prevention work and understanding the local communities in which the Met works."
