Save Borough Policing in London

The Mayor of London recently announced that he is reorganising the structure of the London's police by merging Borough policing organisations into Basic Command Units (BCUs).  These plans are poorly thought out and certainly do not take the views of local people into account.

Having trialled this in several boroughs already, the Metropolitan Police's own report said that:

"the level of service reduction was significantly higher than anticipated

The Mayor is now rushing headlong into this organisation which will mean less accountable policing, no longer tailored to individual boroughs' needs. You can sign the petition below to show your opposition to these dangerous reforms:

"We the undersigned are calling on the Mayor of London to reverse the reorganisation of London's Police."
