Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster Policing Changes

The Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster are having their local command units merged into a single Basic Command Unit.

Having trialled equivalent mergers in the boroughs of Camden, Islington, Barking & Dagenham, and Havering, the Metropolitan Police's own report said that:

“There was an initial deterioration in response performance following the launch of the new model. Some impact on performance was expected due to the scale of the changes, but the level of service reduction was significantly higher than anticipated

With crime on the rise in our city, merging basic command units will make London less safe. You can sign the petition below to show your opposition to these dangerous reforms:

"We the undersigned are calling on the Mayor of London to reverse the reorganisation of London's Police."
