Emily Davison blue plaque campaign

  • Liberal Democrat Mayoral & Lead Assembly Candidate Caroline Pidgeon and Julia Fletcher, who is standing in the Greenwich & Lewisham Assembly Constituency,  are campaigning for a blue plaque for Emily Davison in Blackheath.

Despite Emily Davison being born in Blackheath there is no public plaque to commemorate her life and tireless campaigning work in the fight for votes for women.

I call on English Heritage to work with Greenwich Council to ensure that a blue plaque is erected near to her birthplace in Blackheath so her life and campaigning work is continually remembered.
