You, Your Community, and the Difference You Can Make

Many of us joined the Liberal Democrats because we wanted to make a difference. Over the years thousands of Liberal Democrats have made a difference by becoming a local councillor and representing their community; even Tim Farron, Tom Brake, Lynne Featherstone, and Vince Cable all started out as local councillors.

London’s next local elections are only two years away. That’s why we’re holding an event on May 21st for you to find out more about the difference you can make.

Getting Started is a chance to hear from a range of current and former Councillors as well as network with like-minded campaigners from across London. We want the day to answer your questions about running for Council, including:

  • What do Councillors do?
  • What is the commitment?
  • Where should I stand?
  • How can I win?

The event is free and will take place at a central London location. Please book your place by clicking the RSVP button below. Even if you do not see yourself as a future Liberal Democrat Councillor but want to understand and be involved in our campaigns please come along. If you know of anyone else you think would be interested in this event, please do forward this invite to them, even if they are not yet a member.
